Secret Santa Gift Bag

Hello fellow readers!!!!!
Well I'm sure you're all in the thick of it with Christmas preparations being made
and shopping to do, so I hope you have managed to take time out of your busy schedule to have  a look and see what my latest creation has been.
Once a year our team of Demonstrators gather for a Christmas party, but with a difference.
We do a Secret Santa and decorate the gift however we see fit.
This year we were to decorate a gift bag with our most up to date Stampin' Up! items.
I've always wanted to make a Paper Bow and I think I managed it here.

The contents unfortunately were not photographed before bringing it to the party. ( Sorry, ran out of time)
The main aim to the bag and gift was, it was all reusable.
The Bow can come off and be used again on a gift you wish to give. The same goes for the gift bag itself. (I used the Snow Festival DSP for that).
The lovely Tulle you'll find a use for as well as the Antique brad.
Inside was a jar filled with Dolly Wooden pegs and I wrapped various ribbon on each and fastened them with heart shaped pins.
I also included mini sample cards and stuck brads, buttons and so on.
My recipiant was very happy with her gift and that makes it all worth it in the end.
Well I'll let you all get on and I'm glad you stopped by.
Don't forget to leave me a comment. I like your feed back.

Owl's It Going?

Well I don't know about you, but I want time to put it's breaks on
because I'm not ready for Christmas yet.
Since my last post lots of changes have been happening in my
life and craft has not been happening much.
I guess you can say my mojo has gone for the moment and I'm waiting for it's return.
This blog is to show and share with you my creations which I love to do.
I'm thinking about maybe starting one about a recent condition I've been diagnosed with
as that seems to be controlling my life more these days.
Don't get me wrong I will never give up what I love doing as a hobby,
but it will have to take second place for now.

Now back to what I have to share with you today.
I would like to show you a card I sent to a young lady who turned 12 this month and I wanted to use again the Owls Occasions, as he is so cute.
See what I mean? Very cute indeed holding onto his balloon.
You can do so much with this stamp set and I decided to stamp party hats everywhere, give him and
balloon and hover over the branch with leaves.
My colours on my card were Pool Party, So Saffron, Primrose Petal, Soft Suede and Gumball Green.
Well I hope you enjoyed today creation and I will try and get back soon with more.

Christmas Stamp A Stack

Last weekend I had started my first Christmas Card Class with some friends of mine.
We did make 4 cards and the main theme was using the
new Snow Festival DSP from the new Christmas Catalogue.

All the cards as you can see are very different and I ensured we got to make use of alot
of new goodies.
I think everyone's favorite was the cute Owl from Owl Occassions #128000 (W) $46.95
or #128003 (C) $37.95. Which is your favorite?
Now I cannot take the credit for the card at the middle back. Not that you can see it at
all that well, but I did case this one from the lovely Kimberly Van Diepen.
I just had to make this one because I think the mittens are so cute.
I hope you enjoyed my post today and hope to be back soon.

Crazy About Lalaloopsy

Hello fellow readers and welcome back to my blog.
I am posting a card today that is not something
I would usually make, but once I heard that my dear friends daughter loves Lalaloopsy I just had to give it a go.
I personally think she turned out alright, what do you think?

She was made from circles mainly. The hair was drawn free hand and the rest were using SU's Circles #2 Big Shot Die Cut for the face, Sweet Buttons Embosslits for the eyes, 1/2 Circle punch for the cheeks and that's it.
The Owl is from the Owl Builder punch.
The title Celebrate is from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue this year and I embossed that in White.
So why don't you have a go.
Hope to post again soon.
Thanks for stopping by.

Mini Thank You's

Hello to you all out there.
I know I have been a bad blogger of late and unfortunately it can't be helped.
I am in the middle of packing up a house, organizing a birthday party and
sewing for my children' s school.
So when it rains it pours as they say.
I wanted to show some mini Thank You cards I made for a very special reason.
A dear friend of mine had a birthday and I wondered what could I get her for a present.
The idea of getting her a Big Shot came to mind, as I knew she'd always wanted one.
I wanted to share this idea with other friends to ask if they wanted to chip in to make this happen.
Well they kindly did and to show my appreciation I made them these cards.

The stamp set I used is called Reason To Smile, it came from the June promotion which is no longer running.
The card size is 4x4 in Pool Party and Whisper White.
After coloring in the daisies I went over it with Champagne Mist just to give it a little shimmer.
The present was well received and I am so glad we did it for her.
Thank you for stopping by.

My Hubby's Birthday

Hello to you all and happy Weekend to you.
I am posting a card for my lovely husband who turned a year older last month.
I had in my mind to use the colour Not Quite Navy this time, as it's not been a colour I have used for sometime.
I combined it with Daffodil Delight and Whisper White.
Lets see what you think.
You may recognize the stamp set which is Pennant Parade and used the coordinating punch.
I folded a piece of" Big Top Birthday"DSP at the bottom of the card.
The Happy Birthday sentiment is from "Sweet Cake" stamp set.
This was matted onto Daffodil Delight card stock.
I hope to post more until I move in the beginning of next month and then their will be a 7 year old party to organize. Busy Busy!!!
Until next time stay safe.
Ingredients:
Stamp sets: Pennant Parade and Sweet Cake
Ink: Not Quiet Navy and Daffodil Delight
Card Stock:Whisper White, Daffodil Delight and Not Quite Navy
DSP: Big Top Birthday
Other: Not Quite Navy brads, 1/2 "circle punch, White string, Lattice embossing folder
and Dimensionals.

My 2 Girls Birthday

Happy Winters morning to you out there in bloggers world.
Winter is certainly here and it's nice to rug up and enjoy the sunshine while we can.
I have been a bit slack in showing you these cards, but time just runs away from me of late.
My twins girls turned 10 in May and I wanted to make them something special.
So I decided on a box card and got my inspiration from YouTube.
The colours here were Pool Party, Calypso Carol and Whisper White.
On the center piece of the card I used Sweet Cake stamp and on that placed glitter for frosting on the cupcake.
Here is the card second card.
I love these papers and with some pages already embossed for you it comes in handy.
This time Calypso Coral was the main colour on the card. I stamped the image twice.
Once in Calypso Coral and again Soft Suede. I added a brad and glitter.
Just a tip- When placing your cardstock into the card,
it is best to right your message first before placing it on the inside.
Very difficult to write in it when already stuck down.
Well that's all from me today.
Until next time bye for now.

Hello

Hello fellow readers and Happy Weekend to you.
It has been awhile I know and time flies when your busy.
This past week is like a whirlwind. First I get the flu and stuck in bed for most of the week.
Then I find out I got a new job and then Friday it was my husbands birthday.
So now it's catch up time.
I had the chance to make a card that I wish to share today.
Just a small card using Basic Grey and Daffodil Delight colours.
The papers are from the Autumn/ Winter Mini Catalogue "Attic Boutique" and they make a lovely background for this card.
I used a stamp from the Elementary Elegance set and as you can see I used the "Hello" sentiment.
Well that's a short post from me today.
Stay healthy everyone and see you next time.

Ingredients:
Stamp Set: Elementary Elegance

Many Thank You's

Good day to all of you in blogger land. I hope you are all nice and refreshed after your lovely weekend.
I am posting a card I cased from the lovely Connie Babbart.
I loved the layout of her card and need to make a Thank you card for someone special.
I dragged out my Vintage Vogue stamp set and gave it a go.
I decided to use Poppy Parade, Pool Party, Lucky Limeade and Whisper White for the colour pallet.
The DSP and brads are from this years Sale-A-Bration catalogue called Everyday Enhancement.
Once cutting out the flowers I placed the brads through them and stuck them on with dimensionals.
A short post today and I will be back with more to share soon.

It's Your Birthday

Hello and Welcome to my blog.
I hope your weekend was relaxing and fun, as mine was. I had a Mother's Day card class yesterday with some lovely ladies and I will post soon what we made.
Today I wanted to share a Birthday Card for a dear friend and wanted the opportunity to use the new framelits from the new Mini catalogue.

I also used a small piece of Twitterpated DSP and copied the look of the pleated satin ribbon.
The colour pallet is Island Indigo, Pool Party, Lucky Limeade and Calypso Coral.
I used the "You  Are Loved" stamp set for the center image as I love to colour on rubber using Stampin' Up!'s markers.
I hope you enjoyed today's post  for use of some new items.
Thanks for stopping by.

Up, Up and Away!!!!

Hello readers and welcome to another day of sharing.
You may notice that I do a lot of childrens birthday cards and no wonder because I do have 3
children currently under the age of 10yrs old. Parties and birthday's are always requiring cards to be made
and I am fortunate to be a demonstrator with Stampin' Up! to get to do them on a regular basis.
I made this card for a boy and I got my inspiration from a Shoe Box Swap from Stamp Camp last year.
It is so much fun to see what someone can come up with when handed the stamp set and come up with a creative way of using it.
I loved the idea with the window and phrase showing on the front and inside of the card.
The stamp set used is Up, Up and Away and the papers are called "Big Top Birthday".
Well I hope you like it and inspired you in some way.
Until next time.

I'm loving the new DSP Speciality Sweet Shop and I'm sure you'll agree the papers are just so cute.

It's just something different to give that curved edge.

A New Mini and Sample Card

Hello fellow readers and welcome to another post.

I'm so relieved that after two days of suffering I'm finally over my migraine.
I'm lucky that my kids and hubby try all they can to help me when I get these and try to make life as easy as possible for me.
Now that I've got that off my chest here are some special news for you.
Stampin' Up! has release their new Autumn/ Winter Mini Catalogue for 2012 and you can order your copy NOW from me here.
Personally I think that this is one the best Stampin' Up! has released yet and you'll agree with me once you see it for yourself.
Lots of new items and you'll just want the lot.
I thought I would share a sample card of a couple of the new products from the mini to show you what I mean.
Doesn't this look yummy?
"Sweet Shop" DSP is very cute and would make the perfect Birthday Scrapbook page also.
I also used the new "Sweet Cake" stamp set. Not that you can tell from the photo, but I did use Crystal Effects on the cherry to give it that glossy look.
Well that is all from me for now and I hope you like that little teaser to get your juices flowing and to get you busy making up that new wish list.
Thanks

Trying Something Different

Hello and happy week to you.
Today I wanted to share with you something I just wanted to try which I saw on a Stampin' Up! forum.
A photo was shared by a Rochelle Blok and I had to have a go at doing my own version.
It did take a while, but it was worth it to see the end result.

Blushing Bride is the main color used for this card and Just Add Cake co ordinate well.
I ran it through the Big Shot with the Top Note Die Cut, Lots Of Tags and Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder for the background.
I love the pretty co-ordinating ribbon to make it that extra special.
Well I hope you enjoyed my post today and be sure to keep checking for new and creative ideas.
Just remember Sale A Bration will come to an end on the 31/03/12, so don't miss your chance to earn some freebies before the time runs out.

Birthday Workshop Cards

Hello fellow readers.
I have to share today a couple of cards that my dear friends and I made for a Workshop on the weekend.
Based on kids birthday cards, I thought it would be nice to do similar cards for a Boy & a Girl.
I love bright colors and I always think that is what kids are drawn to.

Using the Up, Up and Away Stamp set was the theme for the day and I got my inspiration from the Ideas Book and Catalogue pg. 34.
I thought it would make a change to use markers rather than ink pads to give the opportunity to make the cards more personal.
It was a fun time had by all and a BIG Thank you to my Hostess Leisa for allowing us to be creative at her place.
Well until next time, happy making :)

On the Pool Party card stock I used the Stripes embossed folder.
I also cut out the stamped flower and attached it with a heart brad (Non SU) through 3 pieces of card in the center.
The stamped Happy Birthday is from Perfectly Penned in More Mustard.
I'm glad you popped by and I'm sure I'll have more to talk about.

Quick not to miss out.

I didn't want to go the traditional full on red, so I used Old Olive, More Mustard, Soft Suede, Real Red and Very Vanilla. With those colours in mind I coloured the stamp in self.
I wanted to add a bit of sparkle, so I punched flowers from the Fancy Flower punch which I then cut into heart shapes.(Good tip if you don't own the Heart punch)
Well I hope your enjoyed this post.
Until next time.

Sale-A-Bration Birthday Card

Sorry it's been so long since I last posted.
Time has just passed so quick and look we are half way
through another month.
I wanted to show you a card for Team Member who's birthday was just last week.
I used the new Sale-A-Bration stamp set that you can also earn called Elementary Elegance.
With the stamp I used a technique called "Rock and Roll".
If you've not heard of this before, all you do and first ink 'your stamp
in a lighter color and then ink in a darker color, but roll the edges only, then stamp.
My color pallet was Pool Party, Very Vanilla and Soft Suede, which I really love.
I also embossed the card stock using Elegant Lines and turned it over to give a flat surface.
I daubed the edges of the Very Vanilla in Soft Suede and finished it off with Very Vanilla
Taffeta Ribbon.
Many Thanks for stopping by.
I'll try not to let time get the better of me.

Desktop Easel Calendar No# 2

Hope you're all well and enjoyed your weekend.
I did especially as it was my birthday yesterday and I had a pleasant time with my beautiful family.
Last year I showed you a Desktop Easel Calendar I made for one of my girls and as they are twins you just
can't make one without the other.
So I made another one.
As you can see I made the Owl into a little girl with using the 2 hearts into a bow for her hair (so cute).
Now, I got my creation tutorial from Connie Babbert and it was really easy to follow.
It's not too late to have a go yourself. This time I used Pool Party, Concord Crush, Whisteria Wonder and Whisper White.
Thanks for coming by. Until next time stay safe.

Christmas Thanks You's

Hello to you!!!
I hope you all enjoyed your Christmas break and I'm sure for most
it's back to normal as usual. For those of us in Oz and have kids we are still enjoying the Summer break and have 3 weeks left with our little monkey's.
This year, school holidays hasn't been jammed packed as they are normally, but nice not having to rush around all the time.
So for that reason I was able to sit down and make some cards for the kids to say Thank You to friends and family for the gifts they received.
This is what we have sent.
A very simple card that can easily be made.
The colours are Pear Pizzazz, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla.
This card fits into the Small Open Ended Envelopes which measures 17 x 8.9cm.
The Pear Pizzazz ribbon unfortunately is retired, but all other items used is current.
Well that's all for now. Thanks for stopping by.

As you can see this is a layering card and at last I got to use my new glitter brad for the centre
of my flower.
So let me know what you think.
Thanks for stopping by.
