Sorry Your Gone

It's been awhile I know, but time can pass by so quick and already we are nearly at the end of this month.
The card I am showing you today is one I have not had to make too many of , but unfortunately this is one of those times.
My husbands cousin sadly passed alittle while ago and this is the card I made for her family.
My colour pallet was Basic Grey, Pink Pirouette and Whisper White.
On the scalloped circle I used the Crop-a-Dile eyelet end to give that embossed look. The boarder was done with the Scallop Trim Boarder and Trim Corner punch. It does take practise, but it's well worth it to get this end result.
I hope you liked the post today and will be on here again soon.

All in a flutter!!!

Welcome readers,
Today you have caught me at last with a card to post for my dear sister in law, but how bad am I that this card still has not been sent. She is also bad for this, but it does niggle at you when someone should have the card you spent time making.
On previous posts I have mentioned that this cute stamp(All A Flutter) will retire, but I may keep it for it is fun to watercolour.
Speaking of colour, I used So Saffron and Peach Parfait on the butterfly and as I watercoloured it I also used my aquapainter with the Shimmer Mist. I popped the butterfly inside the Treat Cup and backed it with the Botanical Gazette DSP(also retiring). On the Crumb Cake cardstock I just used the same stamp with Versamark for a background.
So I think I better get this sent or else I'll be kicking myself if I don't.What do you think?
Well until next time.

Say Goodbye

Hello readers.
Today I wanted to post a card that sadly the stamp used will be retiring at the end of this month.
That's right it is All A Flutter. I love this stamp as it turns out different each time use use it. I will show another card I made which is totally different way of using this stamp. So look out for that.
This main colours today is So Saffron and Peach Parfait. These are the watercolours I used on the butterfly as well as DSP.

I used watered down Champayne Mist Shimmer paint to give that subtle glimmer on the butterfly.
Sorry but the tiny brads are mine and thought they matched the card perfectly.
Hope you enjoyed looking today.
Until next time enjoy.

BFF's Birthday

Hello and good day to you.
Time has flown by since my best friend and I sat down and made birthday invitations for her big 30th
birthday and here I am again making something special for her again this year.
Her birthday was a couple of weeks ago and then shortly after it was her husbands birthday too, so I
waited until that came round before sending their cards together.
For my friend Leisa this is what I made.

My colour pallet was a bit different to what I usually go with. I chose Rich Razzleberry, Certainly Celery, So Saffron and Pear Pizazz.
The box idea was from my lovely team mate Kerry Bunting of course and co ordinated with the birthday card. In the box I placed a box of brads, they fit perfectly.
Now for the male card.
I was really please how this card turned out. I wanted to give the card a subtle shimmer look. I did this
with a watercolour brush and shimmer paint and the colour of the shimmer paint I used was Champagne. It gives it a great shadow effect and not too much with the shimmer to still look masculine.
My colour pallet for this card was Marina Mist, More Mustard and Basic Grey.
I used Watercolour paper for the stamped image and Staz On in black.
I hope you enjoyed this post today.
Hope to be posting soon.

Hurry Time Is Running Out

Hello to you all out there on this fine sunny day(At last).
Sydney had some shocking weather last week and finally we get the pleasure of some raize.
Do you know what else is shocking? The time has past so fast and the current promotion is coming to a close.
That's right, now until the 31st of July is your last chance to get FREE ribbon and buttons if you spend $100 or more on an order from me. Just email me at mmarchant71@yahoo.com.au with your order and I'll make sure you will get your freebies.
I have a card for you today.
This weekend my son is invited to a party and he instructed me that I must make his friend (who is turning 6)
a card with the Motorcycle stamp.
So he chose the colours which are Real Red, Tangerine Tango, Old Olive and Staz On Black.
He wanted it to look like your looking out of a window looking at your new motorbike.
In that case I framed the motorbike to make it a window and a curtain pelmet  on top.
You cannot see the I watercoloured shimmer paint over certain areas of the bike, but it's there.
He has given the thumps up and I do hope the birthday boy will like it too.
Well until next time, have a great day.

The colour of the day......

Well hello finally.
I've been out of action as over here in NSW we are just coming to the end of our school holidays.
I took up the offer to visit my mum and step-dad in Queensland for a week with my kids.
Whilst away I did manage to do some crafting with mum, as she is more into Scrapbooking, so I gave her a hand. It was lovely to see them as well as my Grandparents. They are getting on now and they loved seeing their Great Grandchildren also.
Before we went on our holiday's I managed to make a birthday card for my sister in law.

White was the colour theme plus embossing and punches. You may also notice that not one stamp is in sight.
This is a good way to get the most out of your Big Shot.
Just a quick one for you all today, so until next time.

Happy Anniversary To Me!!!

Good day to you out there in blog world.
As you read this I will be on my holidays with the kids for a week.
As the title says, it was my 13th wedding anniversary last Friday and of course I just had to make a card
for the occassion.
My inspiration came from Jenny Moore for the design of the card.
I really love the colour combo of Real Red, Basic Black and Very Vanilla.
I used the Aviary, For A Friend stamps and Well Scripted.
The DSP is retired but goes well with the colours I've used.
I am so happy I've learnt how to tie a bow and will have to show you all in a class one day.
Well I hope you all have a nice week.
When I return I will be getting together some Christmas card class. I know it's not what you want to think
about right now but if you do it bit by bit, it's not such a rush when Christmas is finally here.
Glad you could stop by.
