Secret Santa

Well hello to you all.Are we just loving this time of year with the Christmas cheer and giving.
A couple of weeks ago my Stampin' Up! team and I were invited to attend a lovely Christmas dinner at lovely Sue's and it was a terrific time had by all.
We participated in Secret Santa and I was Secret Santa for Sarah. This is what I came up with.

I made a Christmas Cracker, a Puffy Box which I got the instructions fromhttp://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/puffybox/  a chocolate bar box and a swap card all from the "I wish" Simply Scrappin Kit. They were fun to make and the items that were handmade from everybody were amazing.
Here are some more pic's to see more in detail.

My swap card and the stamp used was from Hello Again which is in our Summer Mini Catalogue.

I filled this Puffy Box with clear buttons as this was on the secret santa wish list.

I placed two small punches in this one, as I thought this would be a neat way to disguise them.

This has a yummy bar of Lindt chocolate inside it.Great for a rainy day like today.

I hope you enjoyed looking at my creations and it gives you some inspiration to your Christmas wrapping.

Snow Flakes are a coming

I was invited to a friends church group to do this years craft morning and chose to make Christmas cards
and a project for a great gift idea. We made a triangle box which is so simple. Book a class or workshop and you to can learn how to make one.

From our Spring Mini Catalogue I used the ever so popular Ski Slope DSP and the colour scheme was Whisper White, Chocolate Chip and Baja Breeze.Snow Swirled stamp set is used on the Snow flake and on the main part of the box.Just used the crop a dile to punch holes each side to slide your ribbon through.

I just love the Christmas tree in this set and can't help myself by decorating it with glitter.Christmas isn't complete without a bit of bling.
I hope you like them and it was a fun morning. Thanks to all the ladies who came and look forward to seeing
you all next year.

Christmas Card Workshop

Hi there readers. A couple of weeks ago, I had done a workshop for a lady I met from a previous workshop. She wanted a Christmas card theme, so I went with our Ski slope DSP and Snow Swirled stamp set and it really has been the most used stamp set to date.
We made 4 cards in total and this is the first one.

Supplies:
Stamp Sets: Snow Swirled and Warm Words
Ink: Old Olive
Paper: Real Red, Baja Breeze, Whisper White and Ski Slope
Other:Dazzling Diamonds,Baja Breeze Ribbon, Scalloped Edge Punch,1/2"Circle Punch, Oval punch and Scalloped Oval Punch.
Used dauber with Old Olive ink around tree and Be Merry.

Then for our second card I wanted to try to use a stamp set that wasn't for Christmas and could be disguised for that theme. The stamp set we used is called Pocket Silhouette and we placed glitter over the leaves to make it that bit special.

Supplies:
Stamp Set:Pocket Silhouette and Snow Swirled
Ink: Real Red,Choc Chip and Baja Breeze
Paper:Ski Slope DSP, Real Red,Baja Breeze & Whisper White
Other:Choc Chip Taffata Ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds, Scalloped Circle Punch.
I had place Whisper White cardstock and stamped the same stamp image inside
but this time in Baja Breeze.

Now for the third card.
This time I went for Baja Breeze and Chocolate Chip which is a personal favorite of mine for this Christmas.

You'll notice that there is a running pattern with all these cards and that is I managed to put ribbon on every single one. Just a fluke, wasn't pre-thought.
Supplies:
Stamp Sets:Snow Swirled & Short & Sweet
Ink:Choc Chip an Versa Mark using the snow flake stamp.
Paper:Baja Breeze,Choc Chip, Whisper White and Ski Slope DSP
Other: Striped Grosgrain Ribbon

And for the last card I went for mainly the blue and used the co odinating DSP which look
like Winter to me.

Supplies:
Stamp Sets: Snow Swirled & Short & Sweet
Ink: Choc Chip and Baja Breeze
Paper: Baja Breeze,Choc Chip,Whisper White cardstock and Ski Slope DSP.
Other:Choc Chip Taffata Ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds and Circle Punches (not SU).
I told you I like this colour combination.
I hope you enjoyed looking through what we made and a big thank you to Kate for hosting the workshop all the way out in Glenmore Park and hope to see you next year.
Enjoy

Cherish Love Heart Pouch

This was made for my daughter friends who will be moving away at the end of this year and she wanted
to give her something to remember her by.
I went for something from our new Summer Mini for inspiration and this is what I came up with.
The templete for this can be on the Stampin' Up!'s website. It is so easy to make and a lot of fun.
The stamp set I used is called Hello Again and the Retro Remix wheel.I rolled the wheel just using Versa Mark, so that it shows up well on the red.

Supplies:
Stamp Sets:Hello Again & Retro Remix wheel
Inks: Versa Mark, Old Olive,Tangerine Tango, Real Red
Cardstock: Real Red, Pink Pirouette, Tangerine Tango and Whisper White
Other: 3/4" Polka Dot Grosgrain Ribbon (in Summer Mini)

As you can see I added a photo of my daughters to go inside and threw in a few sweets just for good measure. I was quite happy with the result.
Thanks for looking.

Secret Santa for Marelle

Well it was organised through my team to play a little surprise for our upline Marelle to see if she
could guess who her Secret Santa was, so we thought we would make it interesting and all be her Secret Santa. It was fun to keep her guessing and I decided to do a punched out Christmas Pudding and combined it with Chipboard lettering saying "PUD".

Supplies:
Stamps: Snow Swirled
Ink: Choc Chip
Cardstock: Real Red, Choc Chip, Old Olive and Whisper White.
DSP:Ski Slope
Other: Scalloped Edge punch, Large Oval punch, small circle punch and circle punch.Chipboard lettering.

Well it was a hard job for her to guess and we all had a go to do the same at our Christmas party and it wasn't easy. It was a great success.
Hope you enjoyed looking.

What I used from the the mini catalogue is the stamp set Butterfly Prints and matching punch.
Then I used SU's DSP from Simply Scrappin called Petal Party. This card is for a girls birthday party and the colours are lovely and bright.

Seasons Greetings

Christmas is fast approaching us and whilst having visitors I made a couple of cards for them
to take back to the U.K. The Christmas card classes I went to at my upline Marelle's house came in handy, as I sent them back with my daughter ready to be posted to family over there.
Here are a couple of examples for you to see.If anyone wishes to have a workshop to get some Christmas
cards done for their friends or family just drop me a line @ mmarchant71@yahoo.com. I will be available mid November thru till mid December.

I had some inspiration from Kirsty Browns blog for this http://kirstyscardnscrap.wordpress.com/page/3/ card, I just love this new Christmas ribbon from the new mini catalogue which you still have until 30th of November if you wish to purchase some for yourself. In the catalogue you will also find the lovely Designer paper range Ski Slope which I also used for this card.

The next example is still using papers from the same Ski Slope range and going for a more vibrant look. The stamp set used is Snow Swirled. I do like using Real Red which ties in well.

Well moving on from that, I thought would post a Birthday card I sent to my sister in law. I think I used the nappy fold from splitcoaststampers.com to make this card and it was very easy. I used the Simply Scrappin' Kit "Sweet Nothings" for the papers too.

Supples:
Stamps were: For A Friend - Birthday Wishes and Embrace Life
Textured Cardstock: Pink Pirouette,Riding Hood Red,Chocolate Chip
DSP: Sweet Nothings
Scallop Punch

I think that gives you the idea of what was used for me to make this card and it was a hit.
Enjoy

Blogging on the backburner.

Sorry bloggers for being absent for quite awhile, but visitors are among us and life has been very busy entertaining them whilst they are here.
Not much in the way of cards being done, so hopefully after they have been and gone I can get back into the swing of things.
I will be off air after my op in the middle of October, and will try to catch up when I can.

Roses are Blue

Hi everyone.Forgive me, but it has been awhile. My husband and I went away to Melbourne for the weekend last week and it has taken quite awhile to get back into the swing of things since then. We went without children, which is so rare and I haven't been to Melbourne since I was a kid.( All those many years ago.)
Now the card I made here was a thank you card for a Workshop not so long ago and I thought the colours used on a rose were very different.
See what you think.

The stamps used are A Rose is A Rose and Best Yet.Cardstock used was Chocolate Chip, Not Quite Navy, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Kiwi Kiss and Whisper White. I also used the scalloped oval punch with the large oval punch that comes from the new Mini Catalogue.
Thanks for looking.

Magnolia Down Under Challenge No:19

Winter is Here

Well I'm excited to enter into my very first challenge and I chose to use my first Tilda stamp. So I wanted to play along in the Magnolia Down Under Challenges.
I know my card has more of a Christmas feel to it, but in most places that is when it's the coldest time of year.

Some of the items used on the card are from SU and the DS paper is from Cloud 9. I added snowflakes to add that Winter feeling.

Please let me know out there what you all thought and have a great day.

Male Card

images © 1990-2009 Stampin' Up!®

This week it was my husbands 46th birthday and for him I had made this birthday card.
Not all with Stampin' Up! items but mostly. Even though there are a couple of flowers on this card I think you can get a way with it on a male's card.
I scrunched and ripped the DSP to give that old look worn look. No not like you my dear.

Supplies:

Stamp: For a Friend
Card:Baja Breeze & Kiwi Kiss
DSP: Urban Oasis
Other: Black Flowers, Black ribbon with white dots, Kaiser Black rhinestones

Cheep Cheep

images © 1990-2009 Stampin' Up!®

I love these 2 bright colours together. To me it makes the card clean and fresh. I used the Embrace Life stamp set as the background and Petal Pizzazz for the flowers.

Supplies:
Stamps: Embrace Life and Petal Pizzazz
Card:Pacific Point & Summer Sun
DSP: Good Morning Sunshine
Ink: Whisper White and Baja BreezeOther: Pacific Point Grosgrain Striped Ribbon, Scollop Circle Punch, Dimensionals.

Newly Weds

images © 1990-2009 Stampin' Up!®

I kept changing my mind with this page as I was going to use DSP from the Sweet Nothings scrapbooking kit, but instead I wanted to use the lovely A Rose Is A Rose stamp set for the background. It gave me the opportunity to practise with it and see how it would come out.
I added coloured glitter for a bit of sparkle and some embellishments from the kit. I didn't want to colour the chipboard letters, so as you can see I just left them plain.

The couple getting married are my sister and brother in law. We were living on the Sunshine Coast, QLD at the time. They borrowed my children for flower girls and page boy. They looked so gorgeous, it doesn't seemed real that they belong to me.

This is such a pretty card for any female.

This card is the first Stampin' Up! card I've made without going to any class or having a workshop.
With this card I used the 2 stamp technique and used the darker colour as the base with the lighter on top. I added some sparkle to the roses (it may not show so well on the photo). The papers came from the Sweet Nothings Scrapbooking Kit.

Supplies:
Stamp: A Rose Is A Rose
Ink: Chocolate Chip & Whisper White
